Rules and Regulations

 bigbuckresize2 RESIZEEasternNFLD
  • You must be 19 years of age to play.
  • To play, you must first place a completed registration form in a “BIG BUCKS” box at any participating location. Registrations will be collected and added to the registration list. Each number will correspond to a player’s name. Only REGISTERED NUMBERS will be placed in the drum. Registration numbers are limited to 50,000.
  • A pre-printed tag with the matching number will be placed in the Drum at Big Brothers Big Sisters. This tag will remain in the draw indefinitely. The player of the number must cancel a number, in writing, to have it removed from the draw. Once cancelled the number will never be re-used. Registrations numbers not used for 12 months will be cancelled and removed from the draw by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
  • Every registration form has a unique number on it. This is YOUR number to play each week.
  • Each week you wish to play you must place a Toonie in one of the ‘BIG BUCKS’ boxes. The Toonie must have a sticker with your number on it (stickers provided at all outlets)
  • A number will be drawn each week from ALL registrations
  • Your number qualifies to win ONLY if you have a “paid and played” that week by depositing a Toonie with your number on it.
  • If you have not played and your number is drawn, the pot will build for the following weeks draw. Big Brothers Big Sisters is not responsible for you missing the deadline.
  • You can play as many different numbers as you want but a separate registration form must be completed for each number. NOTE: there is no advantage to playing the same number more than once each week.
  • Place a Toonie in the box for each number you play. The Toonie must have a sticker on it
  • Only play one Toonie per number, per week, at any BIG BUCKS box locations. If two numbers are placed on one Toonie it will be considered null and void.
  • You can join BIG BUCKS or register at any time.
  • Please write your number CLEARLY to avoid confusion. Draw a line under hard to identify numbers such as 6 or 9. Illegible numbers are null and void and will not be accepted into the draw.
  • All Toonies from the BIG BUCKS boxes will be collected every Wednesday between 8-11am.
  • A notice will be placed on the box stating that pickup was done & that your Toonie will be in the next week’s draw.
  • All Toonies collected will be recorded for that weekly draw from that location.
  • The draw will take place at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office between 1pm-3pm on Wednesdays. Contact BBBS office for specific time.
  • The winning participant’s number and prize amount will be announced on Facebook, Twitter and Big Brothers Big Sisters website (www.helpingkids.ca). The winner will be contacted by phone.
  • A picture ID will be required to collect your winnings.
  • Winners must agree to allow BBBS to announce their name and use photo for promotional purposes.
